Below is a graph of the processor loads on one of the Xserves we use for WebObjects deployment. I guess those threading locks were not quite right.

Even with the two processors flat-out for three days, over the weekend, and a significant temperature rise on the processors and in the enclosure, Apple's Server Software has no way to send an alert via email.
