Tony Award-nominated costume designer Yan Tax studied Fashion Design in Europe at an Academy for Fine Arts.

In addition to receiving multiple awards and accolades in Europe for costume design, Tax received a Tony Award nomination in the United States in 1993 for his work on the American production of 'Cyrano: The Musical' on Broadway.

He has also designed costumes for other renowned productions including 'Joe', 'Anne Frank's Diary', 'Elisabeth', and 'De Jantjes', and has collaborated on several films.
