Frank van Laecke has created a rich and international track record as an author and director.

In addition to writing successful series for the VRT television station, Frank has directed drama, opera, musical theater and large scale theatrical productions.

The Royal Ballet of Flanders commissioned Frank to direct 'Je Anne', 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and the European premiere of 'Jekyll and Hyde' amongst others.

For three years Frank was guest director for Studio 100 and from 1997 to 1999, he was Artistic Director of Geert Allaert's production company 'Music Hall' producing, amongst others, 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'Aida', 'Carmen' and 'The Wizard of Oz'.

In 2001 'Kuifje en de Zonnetempel' (Prisoners of the Sun - A Tintin story), directed by Frank Van Laecke, had its world premiere in Antwerp to rave reviews from the international press.

In 2000 Frank van Laecke was appointed Ambassador of the City of Gent.
