John Porcellino

Creating, publishing and distributing King-Cat Comics since 1989, John Porcellino has pursued his vision of unimpeded personal expression in comics for over 21 years, and has, in the process, provided inspiration to an entire generation of artists. 

Rob Rogers
Award-winning editorial cartoonist for The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for over a quarter century (and still going strong), Rob Rogers will be on hand Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 12 to 5 PM. Rogers, who is also the current board president of the ToonSeum, will be sketching and signing prints and copies of No Cartoon Left Behind, the massive collection of his work recently published by Carnegie Mellon University Press.  His latest cartoons, along with a decades-spanning archive, can be seen at  http://www.robrogers.com/

Jim Rugg
Pittsburgh's own multi-talented artist extraordinaire, Jim Rugg is a force to be reckoned with.  Co-creator of Afrodisiac and Street Angel, and author and artist of last year's Ignatz Award-winning mini-comic, Rambo 3.5, he is reinvigorating American comics through his triple-threat mastery of style, technique and process.  Anyone not familiar with Jim's work is hereby directed to http://jimrugg.blogspot.com/.  Be sure to check out all the links at the top left to view the amazing range of his work.

Tom Scioli
Master of myth, Tom Scioli is the creator of The Myth of 8-Opus and American Barbarian (soon to be published by AdHouse Books), and co-creator of Godland.  His work offers a fascinating demonstration of the deep linkages between classic myths and legends, western philosophical and religious traditions, and... comic books!  Get started figuring it all out at http://www.tomscioli.com/ .

Wayno (Saturday only!)
Pittsburgh-based new-wave comics creator and self-publishing pioneer, Wayno begain making his mark in comics self-publishing way back in the 1980s.  His series Beer Nutz – featuring the pure Pittsburgh pandemonium of a bunch of local yokels hanging out at their corner bar – was published by Tundra in the early 1990s.  A wide-ranging career in illustration and cartooning has continued to occupy Wayno to the present day.  Get hep at  http://www.wayno.com
