Artnoose is letterpress printer who has published the zine Ker-bloom! every other month for over fifteen years, a feat made even more impressive by the fact that it is entirely letterpress printed from handset type. When somehow finding the time outside of that to do anything, she contributes comics to Andromeda and lives at the Cyberpunk Apocalypse Writers' Collective. Same as last year, she'll be bringing her manual typewriter to the event and writing microfiction on demand.
Shawn Atkins is the artist, writer behind the sci-fi, paranormal, adventure webcomic Explorers of the Unknown and the quirky, oft-times outrageous, slice-of-life comedy, Gello Apocalypse. Shawn is also the penciler for the time travel, comedy webseries, Time Log, and a co-host on the “Sequential Underground” Podcast, both from AudioShocker dot com. check more of shawn's work on http://www.workshop13.net.

Pat Aulisio accidently fell into slip between time/space which soon lead him to obtain a bachelors in fine arts from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where he still currently resides. When not making comics and drawings he is mainting the delicate balance between the planes of existence.
Nils Balls draws comics in a crooked house on the North Side of Pittsburgh. He has an ongoing YINZ! comic feature in The Northside Chronicle. He draws posters and comics for various Pittsburgh stuff. He also maintains Skeleton Balls Comics for the Internet at www.skeletonballs.com - He will be peddling comics and shwag and drawing caricatures for a quarter.
Black Light Diner is a Baltimore-based minicomic and zine distro.

Buzz Buzzizyk has been involved in self published comix since the mid 1980's. He has published 279 issues of my comix zine Maximum Traffic, including two books, one of obscuro comics from the 90's, Truth Be Known, and last year's 162 page issue of The White Buffalo Gazette. The WBG has always included free listings of any and all minicomics and publishers, and also contributors artwork. The most recent issue was published this past summer, and will be available at PIX.
Jared Catherine is a writer and illustrator of his self-published title, Incrediman Comix & Stories. Jared’s illustration, graphic design work and other what-not have appeared in various publications, including a noted run of editorial comics for Penn State Universities’ Daily Collegian. CHAD CICCONI / ACTION LAB ENTERTAINMENT: Chad Cicconi is a comic artist living and working in Pittsburgh. Since his debut in 2008, Chad has worked as the artist for "Baby Boomers" a soon-to-be published graphic novel from Markosia Comics, "Mercury & the Murd" from PKD Media (2009-2010), and most recently Chad provided the artwork for "FRACTURE," the debut series from new indy publisher ACTION LAB ENTERTAINMENT. Chad has also done "sketch card" work for numerous trading card sets, including sets from 5Finity, Versicolor, Sketch Card Studio, and Cryptozoic. Chad will have his own artwork available at PIX 2011, along with other offerings from ACTION LAB.
D.J. Coffman will not be able to attend PIX this year, but we still like him. He is a veteran of the Pittsburgh small press scene, D.J. Went from self publishing and distributing his "YIRMUMAH" comics around Pittsburgh in 1998 to working as a freelance comic illustrator for several writers and publishers. In 2006 Coffman won the first annual "Comic Book Challenge" with his creation "Hero By Night" which was based in "Steel City". Bob Corby under the Back Porch Comics inprint has been producing small press comics since 1987. Tiltes include OH,Comics!, an annual anthology title; Bunny Blues / Leaves, a mini -series about a love-lorned former rabbit detective; Test!, A math comic and numerous mini-comics. Kevin Czapiewski (pronounced “chappy-ES-key”) is a cartoonist, designer and teacher living near Cleveland, Ohio. Kevin is nearly finished with his webcomic Spoilers, about a girl who wants to disappear completely and things falling apart (http://kevinczap.com/spoilers). Tom Dewing is a local skater and illustrator who publishes the comic zine Attack of the Zombie Soy Bot! which, contrary to popular belief, contains neither zombies nor robots. He is also a regular contributor to Andromeda.
Juan Jose Fernandez is a Venezuelan illustrator and cartoonist living in Pittsburgh. He likes his comics tiny. An avid reader of comics he's finally started getting his sequential visions on paper. His comics' range far and wide in terms of subject matter, but are all dominated by a high contrast use of black and white. Shawn and Stephanie Gabborin are a husband and wife creative team. In 2005 they started self publishing horror comics under Angry Gnome Comics. Over the past five years, Shawn (writing) and Stephanie (rocking the art), have brought their own brand of horror to life in their titles “Victor Season” and “Palm Reader”. Through their comic “Short Stack”, a horror anthology, they have published art by over 60 artists from around the world. JERRY GOEBERT is a fringe character on the mini-comix scene. References to his 1980-81 BLUE MOON PRODUCTIONS, which included the MAJOR MISHAP series and the QUARK series, can be found in the ancient publications of the time includeing Clay Geerdes' COMIX WORLD and Jay Kennedy's GUIDE TO NEWAVE AND UNDERGROUND COMIX. BLUE MOON PRODUCTIONS was raised from the dead in 2010. This wil be his first convention setup ever and he'll offer his new books, some collectibles from 1980 including the ultra-rare MAJOR COMIX featuring Jim Valentino and airbrushed by future 7 time Hugo Award winner Brad W. Foster.
Todd Goodman is the writer, creator and founder of Old World Comics. Since launching his independent publishing company on New Year’s Day, 2010, he has filled it with incredible artistic talent to compliment his comic scripts. In April 2011, Todd opened the “subsite” and sister publishing company to Old World Comics called Catacombs, which is more dedicated to the independent genre. Todd also writes the webcomic Catacombs, a comedic tribute to the old black and white horror movies that he loves. Scott Hedlund is a comic book maker from Pittsburgh. Indy cred? He has some. Scott has contributed pencils, inks, colors, letters, covers to a few books including: Weirdlings, WZWA, Chaos Punks, and World of Orenda. Scott is also a cofounder and regular contributor of the Comic Book Pitt, Pittsburgh's premiere comic book podcast.
Joel Jackson (A.K.A. ottocon1 A.K.A. KILLBEARD!), owner of 2 Headed Monster Comics, artist of Radio Free Gahanna and The Toyetic Adventures of Coco Fiasco still wants to be a Transformer when he grows up. Or possibly He-Man. He is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design where he focused on illustration, and makes a living, designing window displays and interior marketing for a specialty clothing retailer. Nick Marino and Justique Woolridge - Nick is the writer (and sometimes artist) of such comics as Super Haters, Time Log, Stick Cats, Zombie Palin, Passage, and more. Christopher Maverick is an author and photographer living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Panel Desk is the printed media word component of Panel Den Arts Collective. Like the trees and brush around a cave maybe. Andy Scott, working under the creative moniker Little Tired Publications, creates a frantic array of comics, paintings, prints, crafts and sometimes music. Little Tired's primary endeavor is a monthly comic anthology called Andromeda and is now currently up to issue number 6. Andromeda seeks talented and passionate cartoonists, writers, drawing enthusiasts, and individuals who have something to share wherever they can be found. Virginia Shields is a local Pittsburgh comics artist. She has been drawing comics for as long as she can remember but went to college for business instead of art. Her first self-published work, Virginia is a People Name, is a collection of comics and cartoons mostly based on real life (with a sprinkle of the fantastic). She will be debuting her new book Words and Phrases for Getting Arahnd Pittsburgh at PIX.

Joanne Sherrow writes the comic book mini series called CAPTCHA. She also wrote the mini-comic zine called How to Be Lolita, a satirical view of the Japanese street style. Lizzee Solomon can barely function in normal society without exploding, so she draws comics and illustrations to quell the humping bacteria orgy in her stomach. Somehow, she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in fine art. In college, she went to Spain and drew a very long comic book about a magical festival and some dick boy that she was preoccupied with during it. Lizzee's drawings are Not Safe for Work.
Dan and Kerry Tallarico are a brother and sister duo that have finally decided to apply the 20+ years of stowed synergy. They are the creators of Cupcakes & Comics and travel from flea market to flea market selling their wares. They've been crafting cupcakes and comics in the Pittsburgh area since September of 2010 and haven't looked back since. The comics are written by Dan then passed onto Kerry to hand draw. When Kerry isn't drawing cupcakes inside comics, she's usually baking cupcakes inside an oven. With five comics under their belts, they plan to make a splash in the Pittsburgh comic scene.
Founded in 2004, Unicorn Mountain is a collective of multi-disciplinary artists dedicated to the creation and promotion of Pittsburgh-based DIY art. Hailed by USA Today and Giant Robot magazine, Unicorn Mountain has self-published three nationally recognized anthologies of comics, fiction, essays and music, as well as several handmade comics and art books by the collective’s individual creators.
Bill Volk (http://www.billvolk.com) - A graduate of the Center for Cartoon Studies and a native of Sewickley, Bill mostly makes history comics. His newest release is an anthology about the Black Death.
Dave Wachter - Artist/co-creator/co-writer of the Eisner and Harvey Award nominated webcomic The Guns of Shadow Valley. Artist/co-creator of the independent series Scar Tissue. His work has been featured in various anthologies, including: Fiendish Fables, PKD Media Presents, Genius J's Almanack and Hope: New Orleans, and guest artist on the webcomic Mystery Solved! Byron Winton is a member of the PITTSBURGH SOCIETY OF ILLUSTRATORS. Byron is a dedicated freelance fantasy and horror illustrator who has worked alongside the comic book industry for many years. His amazingly detail rich paintings offer a little something for everyone. Wayne Wise is a freelance writer/artist living in Pittsburgh. In the 90's he co-created the Xeric Award winning comic Grey Legacy, worked as an inker for Malibu Graphics, and began working at Phantom of the Attic Comics (an Eisner Award nominated comics retailer). In 2002 his first novel, King of Summer, was published. In 2009 he contributed to North. More recently he self-published the first issue of Grey Legacy Tales. He teaches “Comics and Popular Culture” as an adjunct professor at Chatham University.
M Young edits and contributes to The Kindlin' Quarterly, a seasonally-printed homegrown collection of humorous comics, art, stories, and amusements.
