What NOT to do with ad images

A funny technical mistake I saw in a web ad I was served

I really don't know why I'm posting on this, but it struck me as funny (like the Segway story from earlier today) and I just thought I'd share it - and I hope its funny to at least one other person. Maybe its because I'm a techie and I work for an advertising company, but I tend to notice things in ad images. I was on yahoo - who's My Yahoo! RSS feature is awesome for blog reading - and they served me up this ad:

What's wrong with that, you ask? Well if you look at her stomach, you'll notice they didn't save the image at a high enough resolution. So it has all these blotches and marks - not exactly what you want when your product claims to "Diminish Stretch Marks" and "Leave Skin Smoother." Knowing how much work goes into a little ad like this (you'd be amazed how long some creative director could talk about the "feeling" of the orange background), its amusing to see all of that go to waste because a production guy didn't take the time to save the image out right.
