Happy Father's Day (indeed)

Happy Father's Day to my dad, step dad and Grandpa... and I have some news

I didn't get a chace to post it yesterday (although I did mention it in the prayers), but I wanted to put something up to say Thank You to my collection of fathers - my dad, my step dad and my grandpa. Three men whom God has used to shape and mold my life. All three have been very influential for me and I have learned so much from each of them. Praise God for His work of providence through fathers, and for using them to raise up children.

I also wanted to announce for the first time on this blog some exciting news - I'm going to be a father myself. In fact, today I heard my little baby's heartbeat for the first time. Janet is now at 11 weeks, which is a bit early to be able to hear the heartbeat, but our doctor found it nonetheless. He is pumping out a trance beat - 145bpm. I can't even describe how excited I am in hearing his heartbeat; it just makes the entire process so much more real. Thank God for this amazing little gift, and I can't wait for a few more weeks to go by so we can see him on an ultrasound (today was just sound, no picture). Janet and I thank all of you for your prayers as we get ready to become parents.
