door_hanging Not to say there's nothing to be learned. Doing it again (and Mini legend says there is never just one Mini), I'll be able to do a much better job, much quicker. But that's later. This is now.

Finding a painter proved to be exactly the right thing to do. Given that he knew exactly what he was doing, the fact that the clear coat took 20 minutes to flash (meaning that my garage would have been a sticky mess), and he had access to all parts of the car, I would have been walking into a disaster had I tried to paint it myself. He spent about 8 hours activiely working/painting; I would have needed days. It wouldn't have been pretty. My hat's off to the pro - "my painter". And to my wife for forcing the decision. Every so often, she's right.
