Damn! I didn't want to have my wife smell paint, but I didn't want to inflict that on neighbors, either. That doesn't get you a good name in the 'hood. The first coat was a success (excluding the pool evacuation). No odor seeped into the house, and the only way my wife knew I'd painted was when I showed her the car. But the next coat had to be put on in two days, and now I had new bounds. Come Thursday, the last possible day to paint, I decided to just do it. I'd leave the door closed to keep the odor out of the neighbor's yard, and the house was insulated from the garage well enough to keep the odor out of living quarters. Wrong. |
