heads At Mini City, we determined that the engine/head is of a 998 mini, and since my first goal is simply to get the car mobile, I don't want to spend a lot of time/money hopping the engine. Pulling valves/springs/etc. from an older head, cleaning/replacing as necessary, and installing in my head was considerably cheaper than all new parts, and just as good for the intended use. At the same time, carving the head a little to produce a better flow (and a little more power) seemed like both an opportunity to do a little (not a lot) of hot rodding, and to justify a Dremel grinder, which I've coveted but never been able to justify.
