The door frame came from a non-Cooper Mini, so it lacked the mounting holes for the trim strip around the window. Of course I didn't realize this before it was painted, so I could have drilled holes. I couldn't bear to drill in the virgin paint, so I came up with a different approach. Take some epoxy putty, fill in some areas of the back of the trim strip to form a smooth surface, and then use double sided auto trim strip tape to mount the trim. It came out so neat I would have used it on the other door if I hadn't already used the clips. |
