The left rear window frame was snapped in two, and rather than replace it, I decided to find someone to weld it. The frame turned out to be chromed bronze, so it had to be brazed; a local welding shop did the job. I cleaned the area up a little and put some Al paint on, just to cover the patch. I thought I'd maybe have the frame rechromed over the winter; after getting the glass in there, I realize that it'll be Al paint forever. |
