A Band Booster Meeting was held on Monday, October
5, 2009. Cindy gave the Treasurer's
Report. Laura informed us that the T shirts
and fleeces were in and would be distributed to the
band members shortly. She discussed the
Yankee Candle fund raiser. The orders were
distributed. If anyone had a problem with
their order, please contact us. Also, the
orange sale is now going on. Please do your best to
participate.
Laura asked the members about the winter fund raiser. She took a vote on whether to sell Avon or Tastefully Simple products. The members voted on Avon. The information will be distributed before Thanksgiving. This will be discussed at our next meeting.
Colleen said only 16 families have paid the membership dues. Membership is still open. Please join.
A band T shirt was the raffle prize won by Rachel Mazzarella. We will have a raffle each month at our meeting. Only those who have paid their membership will be entered in the monthly raffle.
We discussed having a super 50/50 raffle. Tickets will be distributed to the band members. Each member is requested to sell ten tickets at $5.00 each.
Mr. P. informed us that the competition on October 10th was cancelled. The next competitions are scheduled for October 17th and 24th. The Columbus Day parade is Sunday, October 11th. Mr. P. invited everyone to march with the band. He also asked parents to attend the Homecoming game on October 17th. Mr. P. also discussed the 2011 trip to Disney. He will have more details in January. Another topic he discussed was the possibility of a grant from Soundtree USA. This money would be used for the music computer lab and a piano lab. Details will follow.
Laura asked the parents if they agreed with the prizes for top selling fund raisers. It was decided to stay with the original plan.
Our next meeting is scheduled for November 2, 2009. Flyers, postcards, and e-mails reminders will be sent out.

November Meeting Minutes

A Band Booster meeting was held on Monday, November
2, 2009 at 6:30.
Cindy gave the Treasurer's report. Laura discussed the Avon Fund Raiser that started on October 30th. Laura asked members to try to make it to football game on Friday, November 5th. It's the last game, so come and show your support.
In regard to the Booster membership, so far there are about 35 participating families. When fund raising, band members who have paid for the Booster membership receive a share of the profits in their personal accounts. This amount is based upon the amount sold, as well as, the profits earned from each fund raiser. Only paid members will be eligible.
When Laura stated there were still some size small T-shirts for sale, the members expressed an interest in purchasing fleece jackets. Laura will be sending out flyers.
There is a possibility we will try to have a breakfast with Santa in December. This will be discussed at our next meeting which is scheduled for Monday December 7th at 6:30.
