Have a Safe and Fun Summer!

I want to wish EVERYONE a safe and fun summer, and to thank everyone for their help this year. ALL of our students did a spectacular job and I am very proud of all of you! Thank you so much for a great year!

Section of the Year!

I’d also like to congratulate the COLOR GUARD for winning this year’s SECTION OF THE YEAR TROPHY!!!! The new plaque is being made up this week and will display all of your names. The guard has done an amazing job this year and the girls and staff should be proud of their achievements!

Next Year Plans!

I’ll be in contact with all section leaders and our Drum Major, Ms. Dolores Bujnowski, I’m confident that we’ll really be able to step up next year and have a fun and musical year - some “stuff” we’ll be l;ooking for help on:

• New BAND BANQUET! - big party, sit down dinner, senior awards, photos, alumni!
• ROCK BAND VIDEO GAME fundraiser - the date’s been set - April 30th, 2010 - are YOU ready to Rock!?
• Daily and Monthly Section Leader reports and assessments.
• Rock of Ages on Broadway
• Trips to NYC
• The King Lives! and SLAM Rocks! - Yesterday and Today!

Summer break is almost here. The BHS Band had a great year and now we’re getting ready for 2009-2010! Check back here soon for band camp updates and schedule change info. Members can check out our members only section for our complete 2009-2010 calendar of events. We’ll also soon be posting news about next year’s theme and repertoire selections, our upcoming trips, the band boosters, and our big fundraiser for 2010 - a PS3 Rock Band video game competition!
