In a time where books like the 'Celestine Prophecies'
and the 'Da Vinci Code' are blockbuster mega sellers,
we should start looking at things that are REALLY
interesting.
Take for instance the French adventurer and hero
Bob Morane. He is a creation of the author Henri
Vernes, and his adventures have been published
from the early sixties on in a variety of (pocket)
book formats for young people between 12 and
16. When I was a kid I used to read them all the
time.
Bob Morane has sailed over seventy-seven seas,
he has defied jungles, deserts, savannas, big
cities, poisonous snakes, Mafia mobs, dinosaurs,
meat-eating trees, migrating ants, vampire bats,
avalanches and villains of every conceivable plumage.
Together with his inseparable friend Bill Ballantine
he has stood on the brink of death on countless
occasions, and has spurned mortal fear in all its depth.
A while ago, by the side of a swimming pool I decided
to recreate Bob Morane from memory and write an
adventure in that distinct Henri Vernes style - people
who are familiar with the pocket books from the sixties
may recognize it.
You don't have to be a Bob Morane adept to enjoy this
new adventure! So what's this new adventure all about?
I figured that Bob and Bill would be THE heroes to find out
The Ultimate Knowledge: The One Formula That Describes
Everything. Not marginal stuff, like the Holy Grail, Anti
Matter or Gradual Enlightenment. No - this is The Big One
that makes all else redundant! Einstein called it The Grand
Unified Theory, but failed to grasp it. Stephen Hawking has
stated that we may be twenty or so years away from
discovering it, but he remains stuck in his Black Holes.
Will Bob and Bill succeed in retrieving the Secret from the
Very Core of Existence? Will they have the strength and
the courage to stand face to Face with the Creator,

adversaries, like Roman Orgonetz alias the Man with the
Golden Teeth, the unscrupulous Ming, alias the Yellow

the Mossad, the CIA and last but not least the Russian FSB.
Above all, they are going to meet themselves, and that is
about time, after more than fifty years of adventures.
