Over the years I have been in the habit of regaling the family with stories of things which I have found amusing, interesting or downright alarming in my life. When I announced my intention of buying an Apple iBook in order to keep myself abreast of modern technology, the family all then agreed that I should use it to record these tales.

Since I wrote this original introduction I have gone through a number of updates to my equipment, my current set-up being a MacBook with 2.2 GHz processor and 2GB of memory. This was a birthday present from Susan in January 2008 and is a sleek and beautiful machine. I also have a Nikon D50 Digital SLR camera which enables me to be quite adventurous in the world of photography. I am a member of the photo-sharing site Flickr which has put me in touch with like-minded people from many countries. I hope you enjoy my writings and my photographs.
