but I still don't have them

So yesterday afternoon, when it was dumping sleet like refined white sugar crystals from the sky, the optometrist called to announce that my glasses had come in.

Phbbt.

I decided I could wait to get them until this afternoon when I have an appointment to make sure my new contacts are ok. With any luck, we'll be in-between bouts of precipitation.
