Notes from the Y


A couple of observations...

To the lady next to me on the stationary bikes, the one in fuchsia workout pants and tomato-red athletic shoes: Ouch. My eyeballs are still bleeding. That's the reason most of us buy neutral-colored athletic shoes. And that's the reason most athletic shoes are white or black.

To the lady swimming laps in the beige bikini, the one exactly the color of her skin: it's a lucky thing you're in good shape, honey, because trust me, everybody looks twice. I applaud your body confidence (or I will as soon as I pick my jaw up off the floor.)
