Mama Obscura is Proud

In fact, she's bleedin' well chuffed

Orchestra Director (AKA Eldest-Child-I-Didn't-Really-Have) received the recording of the Carnegie Hall performance #1-Son did last Easter. Let me tell you, the reason people "practice, m'boy, practice" to get to play there is because THE ACOUSTICS TOTALLY ROCK. Listening to it, one cannot believe this is a middling-decent high school orchestra playing a live performance (and on lousy rented cellos and basses.)

Because I know y'all are good, discreet friends, (you're discrete, too, but that's not the important thing here) I have made arrangements for you to have a listen, should you be so inclined.

Live At Carnegie Hall (A Zipped file. And maybe Stuffed, too. I dunno what all I did to it. Holler if you can't expand it completely.)

Contains:

* A faked album cover
* Vivaldi's Concerto Grosso in D minor, Op. 3, No. 11
* Chesnokov's chorale Salvation is Created, arr. for string orchestra by J. Gutowski (aka Orchestra Director, who is also a professional tenor, and knows from vocal music)
* Tchaikovsky's Serenade for String Orchestra in C Major, Op. 48; III. "Elegie" and IV. "Finale (Tema Russo)" (two tracks)
