Break's over, back on your headsWell, there's one more day, anyway
When last we were visited by the intrepid
Camera, she was flailing wildly at the thought of less than a week until
Christmas. She does that every year; I'm certain no one pays any attention any
more.
The treats got made, the presents and groceries purchased, the presents wrapped, fancy breakfasts and dinners cooked, Christmas Eve service attended -- Daughter made a great Head Angel and even rescued a 6-year-old angel when hot wax dripped on her, stockings got stuffed, presents opened, etc., etc. Our trip out to Key West was a little stressful -- the weather was bad in Atlanta, we missed our Miami - Key West connector, and it looked for a bit like we might spend 27 hours of our 84-hour vacation in Miami International Airport playing the "on standby" game, but luck and a soft-hearted gate agent were on our side and we were only 3 hours late getting to Key West. The weather was beautiful, the hotel posh, and we had tons of fun. It might be just because it was the shortest vacation I've ever had, but it was the first time I wasn't ready to go home from one. Since then we've done almost nothing, and enjoyed the bejeezus out of it. New Year's Eve was spent at home eating junk food and watching WALL-E. Party animals, us. So the kids go back to school Tuesday, Hubs back to work tomorrow. We all have to learn to write 2009 on things. Here's wishing everyone a healthy, drama-free and trauma-free year.
