What, I'm supposed to write in this thing?

Busy weeks; sick kids; whaddaya mean 3 weeks until Christmas?

No really, we're all still here (more or less.)

Last week: Spa Owner's dad died, which meant I crammed visitation and the funeral into all the other stuff I did in the 2.5 days I had before we went down to my mom's for Thanksgiving. And would someone please explain to me how I can do all the laundry in the house on Monday and Tuesday, leave on Wednesday, come back Saturday, and have three full laundry hampers again? Because the math just isn't working out for me at the moment.

To top off the traveling fun, #1-Son had a head cold that came into its full glory Thanksgiving Day.

This week: Yesterday the kids got their flu shots, and I managed to finagle a real doctor's appointment for #1 at the same time because the head cold turned into a sinus infection. Zithro seems to have helped that, yay. Daughter raked leaves for a couple of hours Saturday afternoon and promptly developed ugly allergy symptoms (or maybe she's got her brother's cold, who knows?) She's giving me fits about taking her prescription cold medicine because it makes her sleepy during school.

Today I'm running laundry (just like yesterday and tomorrow, thanks for asking) and I'll run errands while #1 has his cello lesson. Because oh hey, yeah, somebody DID forget to tell me we were out of Tylenol, and there are two people in this house who can't take Advil. I discovered this after I went to the grocery store last night. I was not happy.

Tomorrow I'm chaperoning the two younger high school orchestras plus the seniors (so yes, both #1 and Daughter) on an all-day tour of the three feeder middle schools. Including lunch at the mall. Then #2-Son has a hair cut. Sorority is doing their annual shopping trip to Old Town St. Charles tomorrow night, but I won't be going. *mutters* Once upon a time, Daughter and I would get to go.

Thursday... Blimey, Thursday's empty. Something very wrong with that. Hell, maybe I'll dig out some of the Christmas decorations. Oh, whoops -- I won't be home tomorrow, so I'll be finishing the laundry Thursday.

Friday is the every-other-year Holiday Showcase / Madrigal Dinner, and #1-Son is playing, so the rest of us are going. I don't know how much this is a real Madrigal Dinner, but it'll be food and entertainment. The Orchestra Parents are providing an early supper for the kids, since they're playing while everybody else gets to eat. But those of us eating are paying (rather dearly) for the privilege.

Oh, nuts! #1-Son has to have a white shirt for the tour tomorrow. There's one more thing on my K-Mart list for this afternoon's errands... Or something to do after supper, if I don't get them all in during the 45 minutes he's at his lesson.

Better make a list now...
