Russian Teacakes


aka Mexican Wedding Cookies, or Pecan Sandies


Russian Teacakes

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Mix together:

1 c. softened butter
1/2 c. powdered (10x) sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together and stir in:

2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix in 3/4 c. finely chopped pecans

Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls (or crescents for Mexican Wedding Cookies). Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, not brown, 8 - 10 minutes. Cool and roll in more powdered sugar.
