The curtain is here!

Throw pillows too

The sewing from Baby Sis arrived today. Here is the curtain, black side out because the walls are still light. You can also see the table, covered w/ Daughter's origami, and the wall shelf, covered in manga:

Here's a close-up of the fabric:

The reverse side of the curtain is done in this fabric:

...which I think she's leaning towards having as the front once the room is repainted. But this child rearranges all but the bed and dresser every time she vacuums, so she may swap it back and forth a lot.

Here's her bed with one of the throw pillows. She ran out of stuffing so we have to get some more before she can fill its mate:

The other throw pillow you see is a "chocolate chip cookie" project from last year's Family And Consumer Sciences class. Her grandmother has threatened to abscond with it.

Here's a paint sample set made at the Behr website. It features the color she wants for the walls, the color currently on her trim (which I am reluctant to change), a color that pretty much matches the darkest stripe in her comforter, and the closest color Behr has to black. The paint chip from the store for the wall color shows it as a bit more true red, darker and more intense, and of course I'd be putting a semi-gloss on her walls so it'll be a good bit shinier.
