Q: How do you wake up an optical mouse?


The optical mouse on the new iMac likes to sleep.... And when the mouse is asleep, the computer is asleep.

A: Turn him over and tickle his tummy.

The optical mouse on the new iMac likes to sleep. Shifting it side to side, banging it on the keypad... nothing wakes it up. And when the mouse is asleep, the computer is asleep.

But turning it over and tripping the sensor seems to work very quickly.

At least this one's not cordless. I already buy AA batteries by the 48-pack at Sam's Club, thanks to the old computer's mouse and the various Gameboys in the house.

Update: Hubby says, "Just hit a Shift key." (He also says don't use the Return key.)
