Rizal Dondi Ledesma is the father of Filipino Progressive Rock. While he made a mainstream career as a session Bass Guitarist, at home he would record one-man projects under the name DNDI. He started independently releasing these projects as cassettes in the 90's. To fill out the arrangements of these recordings he would also play Keyboards, Flute, and programmed Drums as well as singing. To play Guitar parts, he used Piccolo Basses.

With the dawn of the World Wide Web, he began to use every website available to promote his own music. This international exposure gained him fans among aficionados of Progressive Rock and Bass Guitar virtuosos. He also won a few contests where he competed against fellow contestants from all over the world. Two of these contests that he won led to winning the two Music Man Bass Guitars in his collection.

At the start of the new millennium, he stopped releasing his projects on cassette. Under the expanded name of DNDI Dondi Ledesma, he started releasing his new albums as Compact Discs independently in the Philippines, and through MP3.com internationally. With the demise of MP3.com, it remains to be seen how his international fans will acquire his future albums. The answer will eventually reveal itself, because there's no doubt that future albums will spawn from the fruitful and creative mind of Rizal Dondi Ledesma.

In 2008 he began a project with the drummer for Wally Gonzalez, Chiristopher Messer. They are called Two Chilekings.

Dondi sadly passed away on Feb 23.
