| | In the morning... put the pudding back in the mold. | |
| | | Ready to be covered with foil, & secured with rubber bands. | |
| | | The covered mold is put back in the slow cooker and left on low until the evening. | |
|
| | Remember to put boiling water two thirds of the way up the mold. | |
| | | Cover the slow cooker and heat on the low setting until it's ready to be served. | |
| | | I created a marzipan decoration for the top of the pudding. | |
|
| | White marzipan formed into the shapes of leaves and petals. | |
| | | Powdered food coloring/colouring is brushed onto the marzipan. | |
| | | Powdered food coloring/colouring gives a more real-like appearance to marzipan. | |
|
| | After flaming I put this decoration on the pudding. | |
| | | Don't flame the pudding with the marzipan on top! | |
| | | Marzipan decorations make the pudding look professional. | |
|
| | After dinner remove the pudding from the slow cooker. Only touch the mold with a tea towel. | |
| | | Place the serving plate on top of the pudding mold. | |
| | | Flip the pudding mold and plate up-side-down. | |
|
| | Remove the mold, and place an "X" mark on the top of the pudding with a long spoon. | |
| | | The "X" indentation allows the heated brandy to drain down from the top of the pudding. | |
| | | Although my digital camera cannot pick up the blue flame... the pudding is flaming. | |
|
| | Once lit, a blue flame will hug the pudding for a few seconds. The flame doesn't get very high. | |
| | | I place my marzipan decoration on the top of the pudding (after flaming). | |
| | | The marzipan decoration gives the pudding that extra touch. | |
|
| | It's done, and ready to be served with whipped cream or hard sauce. Enjoy! | |
