I will post various things mapwise here. While I have a few programs, and am appreciative of Campaign Cartographer (Profantasy), the fact that it only works in Windows does not endear itself to me. That, and it is slow, even running native on my 600mhz WinMe laptop. DunDjinni is a simpler program that can produce a wide variety of maps easily, in a variety of formats. Add in that it works in many OSs (Windows and OS X), and that there are user forums where a lot of artwork is available for free, well, it won me over when I bought it around Christmas 04. The site for this program is here. There is a free demo version as well.

The first map, that took me an hour or so to make (mainly because I need to organize my objects so that I can find them easier), can be found as a jpg file here. It is a building, with hexes suitable for Hero, that has an outer area with statues, fountains and an altar. There is a storage room off that that has some items left, and then the main house. One room is the living area, with bookshelves, desk and table. The bedroom has a bed, and a magic dragon circle with treasure chest. Obviously, this is a poor living area, but I wanted something quick so that I could post it as an example. I might DL some of the user maps that people have posted, and put them up here for people to look at. The image in the file is reproduced below:
