iConquer - Graphics

Aqua interface
iConquer takes full advantage of Mac OS X's beautiful Aqua interface. Dialogs gracefully drop down from the main window's titlebar, reducing visual clutter. Armies are presented in a drawer that slides down when you need it, and slides back up when you don't. And of course, the toolbar is fully customizable.

Quartz graphics
iConquer brings you stunning visuals, using Mac OS X's Quartz graphics system. Transparency, drop shadows, anti-aliasing: it's all there. When you conquer a country, the defeated player's color gently fades into the winner's. Windows smoothly resize themselves when their contents change.

Customizable maps
You can play iConquer on a variety of maps by downloading map plug-ins. Over a dozen maps are available, including the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, and even the Solar System! Maps are available in different sizes, from iBook to Cinema Display. And you can create your own!

New Game Placing Armies Cards

Even the icons are cool!
iConquer takes advantage of high-resolution icons in the Finder to bring you game previews. Saved games have custom icons that show what the game's map looks like.

Countries
iConquer's built-in world map is exquisitely detailed and made from a NASA satellite photograph. Borders are geographically accurate and follow meaningful modern boundaries.

Color Transparency
iConquer allows you to customize the amount of color transparency in the map. This feature helps the visually impaired discern who owns each country.

Armies
iConquer uses Aqua-style numbers to represent the number of armies available to the current player.

Number styles

You can pick from Roman, Western, or Japanese number styles. Armies can be dragged and dropped directly onto the map.

Players
Countries are color-coded according to their owner. A legend in the corner of the window allows you to keep track of the players in the game.
