ingredients

  • 2 cups lukewarm water
  • 5 to 6 cups flour
  • 1 package yeast
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

directions

Beat egg and add oil, salt and sugar together.  Stir well.  Add water and yeast, mix together with egg mixture.  Add flour 1 cup at a time and blend.

Let rise about 2 ½ hours.  Knead and pull off dough and roll into balls.  Should make around 40.  Let rise again for 2 hours and bake at 400° for approximately 10 minutes until brown.  Brush with butter.
