- 1 cup Shortening
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 cups Oatmeal (I use Quaker Minute Oats)
- 1 cup chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Add milk and blend. Fold in oatmeal and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet, one inch apart. Bake 10-12 minutes in 350 degree oven.
