ingredients

  • cup butter or margarine
  • cup flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons finely grated onion
  • 1 cooked fryer chicken, boned
  • ½ cup diced green pepper
  • 2 pimientos
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

directions

Melt butter in deep skillet; add flour and stir over low heat.  Add broth and milk all at once.  Cook and stir until thickened.  Add remaining ingredients.  Heat to serving temperature.  Serve on toast or rice.
