Additional Worthy Charities that are Responding to the Crisis
During the 33 days of war with Hizbollah, Magen David Adom teams responded to 1,479 events, with a total of 1,004 ambulance runs and 197 dispatches of Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU ambulances) bringing medical personnel to civilians and soldiers.
JNF is working to send Israeli children to JNF summer camps in central Israel; to build security roads; to purchase emergency vehicles/fire trucks, bulletproof vests and helmets for firefighters; and to restore the estimated 16,500 acres of forest & field scorched by Hizbollah rocket fire.
The impact of this war on the country’s most vulnerable – children, elderly, the disabled and new immigrants – has been dramatic. Even if the cease-fire holds, the need for humanitarian and social services will continue. And the effort to rebuild Israel’s badly damaged cities, economy and psyche will take even more effort. One hundred percent of all contributions to this fund will be immediately sent to Israel without any overhead.
Yad Eliezer is supplying hot meals all over the north. We have requests for boxed food from thousands of families. This is in addition to the thousands that we feed on a regular basis.

The Soldiers of Israel Still Need Your Help!!  Even though a cease-fire is in effect, FRIENDS OF ISRAEL DEFENCE FORCES continues to support the many IDF soldiers that are still deployed in Lebanon and along the Northern border, and continue to defend Israel around Gaza and in Judea and Samaria.

Beit Issie Shapiro in Ra’anana helps mentally and physically retarded children and their families, throughout Israel. Due to the war they have taken in scores of children from the North, and have opened their aquatic center and dental offices for free to any and all families from the North that relocated in Ra’anana.   For the first time in their history they will have an enormous operating deficit specifically due to the services they have extended to victims of the war.
As families return to the North from around the country, and as they come out of the Northern bomb shelters, the relief and recovery effort is great. Hazon Yeshaya is committed to assisting all needy residents of Israel, and just as it distributed food to families in bomb shelters during the war, it will continue to bring food to their homes in northern Israel until these families have some semblance of normal life.
