Part 1 of Patinformatics Article Appears in SCIPOnline
Abstract
A version of the Patinformatics: Identifying Haystacks from Space article that I wrote and published previously has been re-worked for the competitive intelligence community and Part 1 (there will be three parts when finished) has been published in the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professional's (SCIP) online journal, SCIPOnline.

Bonnie Hohhof at SCIP approached me some time ago
about writing a version of my Patinformatics: Identifying Haystacks from Space
article for their online magazine. It took a little time to get everything
organized but part 1 of the article came out in last week's
edition.
Since SCIPOnline is only available to SCIP members Bonnie has graciously sent me a PDF copy so I can post it here. Please click the link below to download the PDF file:

The article has a little bit of new content compared to the version that appeared in <HTMLCode> <a href="http://www.infotoday.com/searcher/oct02/trippe.htm" target="NewWindow">Searcher</a> </HTMLCode> but for the most part it is the same article.
