Call for Papers - Technical Intelligence at ACS Fall 2003 in New York City


Abstract
I am chairing a symposium on Technical Intelligence at the Fall 2003 ACS National Meeting in NYC. The last time we did one of these was Spring 2001 in San Diego (aww, San Diego) and it was a big success with 18 papers presented over two days. Now it is time to do it again.

Technical Intelligence

As a sub-discipline of Competitive Intelligence, the field of Technical Intelligence (TI) has taken on greater importance within technology leveraged organizations looking for a competitive advantage in their respective industries. Topics pertinent to TI include: Patent Analysis, Technology Forecasting, R&D Strategic Technical Planning, Licensing and Acquisitions and Competitor Technology Profiling. The American Chemical Society Division of Chemical Information is seeking speakers for a symposium at the 226th National Meeting, to be held in New York City who are interested in speaking on topics related to Technical Intelligence. Speakers are sought from all aspects of this community including industrial practitioners, consultants and representatives from organizations that support this field.

Opportunities are also available for a poster to be presented on the same topic during the division's poster session. Any interested parties please reply to the organizer, listed below.
