Ladled on the arm Of the misty coast of Albany With its charm I'm off to the capital of New York in the early morning. Not with a
bang, but a whimper.

oh now feel it comin' back again
Last night I was caught in the thunderstorm that swept through DC. I
think I was about three miles from my apartment when the first drops started to
hit me, but I figured that it wouldn't go from drizzle to downpour in the next
20 minutes. I was wrong. Dead wrong.
I've always thought that I could probably run faster and longer if I was being chased by a dog. It turns out that nothing motivates like being able to count the seconds between thunder and lightning on one finger. It turns out that there is actually a "pop" sound before the actual rumbling of thunder reaches your ear. At least, that's what I heard as I tried to jump through puddles and dodge slow moving cars in my mad dash home. As an aside, I got a request for my favorite songs of the moment. I really haven't been listening to anything specific. I just let the ipod shuffle. That said, here are the five songs from 2005 that I've enjoyed the most so far, here at the halfway point. Bettie Serveert - Don't Touch that Dial Bright Eyes - Take It Easy (Love Nothing) Bright Eyes - We Are Nowhere and It's Now Decemberists - The Sporting Life Of Montreal - The Party's Crashing Us Posted in at 08:19 AM (#) Sun - May 15, 2005
It's easier to leave than to be left behind
I'm done with law school, New York University, and the city and state of
New
York!

I fought the law and the law won
At 11:10:38 AM EST on May 10, 2005, I completed the final technical
requirement for law school. So I am technically graduated, the best kind of
graduated.

Taste the Fame
![]() Went
to see Brendon Small speak at NYU's Kimmel Center this evening. For those of
you that do not know, he was the Voice of Brendon on a little show called Home
Movies. It aired on UPN for 5 episodes, then migrated to Adult Swim for the
final 47 other episodes. The second season will be out on DVD this June. For
those of you in the know, my photo is blurry on purpose. The first season of
the show was filmed in Dr. Katz style 'Squiggle-vision.'® So the photo you
can see of Brendon is also squiggly.
He spoke about the cartoon industry and made some jokes. He showed a clip from his upcoming Adult Swim Project "Death Clock." It looked pretty funny. He mentioned that it was going to be about a Death Metal Band. It's a lot crazier than Home Movies, but that really isn't saying much. Home Movies never really fit in with the rest of Adult Swim. He also had the actress who voices Melissa show up and give him a great introduction. That completes every person's goal: to see Jon Benjamin, Brendon Small, and Melissa Galsky within one week. As you may remember (... not), I went to see Jon Benjamin last Tuesday at the Midnight Pajama Jam. Life is good. Oh, Mr. Small is also working on a project for the Sci-Fi channel that is "Lord of the Rings" meets "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I think the plot revolves around barbarian metrosexuals trying to live their everyday lives in middle earth. I forget if he mentioned anything else. Posted in at 10:11 PM (#) Wed - March 9, 2005
No, not the band
A document on my computer was created on Sunday, March 19th, 1995.
Since the text in the document is not an original creation by me, we have to
assume that it was written before I created the file in which to record it.
That means that these words may have been composed exactly 10 years ago this
very
night!
I guess I know what Rich and Micah are doing. C.B. is too common a name for a good fast googling, but Tom Wojciaczyk? Easy! He went to Virginia Tech and now does computer work in Richmond for CVA! Jason Grunert? He went on to Tech for school, but the internet is silent after that. Brent Wolfe may have gone to college in Maryland and gone to work in therapeutic recreation. Who would have guessed? Anyway, do you like apples? Well then, how do you like THEM apples? Posted in at 11:10 PM (#) Fri - March 4, 2005

Please?
Hey, if anyone is home around 12:30 tonight, let me know if you can see
me briefly on the Late Show with Conan. If that isn't enough of a challenge,
I'll give mad props to anyone who can, assuming my face appears in the audience
or something, get a screen capture of it. Have a good night!
Hint: Look for me a few seconds after he starts talking about how oddly his hair is behaving. Posted in at 07:12 PM (#) Mon - February 14, 2005 Sat

Even though I can't explain it
I already know how great it is Took a trip out to Central Park this morning to visit the Gates
installation. I could post a picture in this entry, I could post a link
explaining it, but I'm not going to do it. It was an interesting way to spend
my morning. I may go again some time next week to see how it all looks at
night.
If you are in New York City, you should take two hours to walk around the park this month. It will be gone in 15 days, I believe. Posted in at 10:09 PM (#) |
