Getting in touch with the webmaster

Two quick notes.

First, I have a FAQ. If you have come to this page because you have a burning question on your mind about the origins of this website or me, then you might find your question answered there. If that sounds possible, you should go check and save yourself from the need to figure out the email puzzle of this site..

Secondly, I prefer to receive mail that is encrypted, or at the very least digitally signed.*

If you want to honor my preferences but feel lost, you can learn more about crypto and email at the GNUPG website.

Of course, my actual email is available with a weak form of 'encryption'. (A dog could break it without a problem after clicking the link!)

Since this is my life, I understand that most people I know will not rise to this level of email sophistication for many years, if ever. So take heart gentle reader, send me an email even if you cannot encrypt it or set up your own public key...just don't expect to get any sensitive information in my reply. I like email, I do this to establish my street cred with the other nerds on the web.

For anyone interested in the general procress but unwilling to figure this all out, I will just say that I believe, to play your cards right you would need first set up your own key and key manager program, then copy my key into a text file and then import it with that key management utility. From there you could use the management system to encrypt text in am email. Then you would really be send me something that was encrypted in such a way that only I could open it up later..

Final Note:

(The email listed on most pages on this website gets my attention, but it is a filtering one that sometimes pushes real mail into the junk folder ---- don't feel like you always need to come here to alert me about trivial things regarding this page. The smaller the problem, the more you probably won't want to do any work anyways, but you are welcome to use the standard 'contact the webmaster' email list provided at the bottom of most old pages on this site.)
