![]() Went
to see Brendon Small speak at NYU's Kimmel Center this evening. For those of
you that do not know, he was the Voice of Brendon on a little show called Home
Movies. It aired on UPN for 5 episodes, then migrated to Adult Swim for the
final 47 other episodes. The second season will be out on DVD this June. For
those of you in the know, my photo is blurry on purpose. The first season of
the show was filmed in Dr. Katz style 'Squiggle-vision.'® So the photo you
can see of Brendon is also squiggly.
He spoke about the cartoon industry and made some jokes. He showed a clip from his upcoming Adult Swim Project "Death Clock." It looked pretty funny. He mentioned that it was going to be about a Death Metal Band. It's a lot crazier than Home Movies, but that really isn't saying much. Home Movies never really fit in with the rest of Adult Swim. He also had the actress who voices Melissa show up and give him a great introduction. That completes every person's goal: to see Jon Benjamin, Brendon Small, and Melissa Galsky within one week. As you may remember (... not), I went to see Jon Benjamin last Tuesday at the Midnight Pajama Jam. Life is good. Oh, Mr. Small is also working on a project for the Sci-Fi channel that is "Lord of the Rings" meets "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I think the plot revolves around barbarian metrosexuals trying to live their everyday lives in middle earth. I forget if he mentioned anything else.
