Our new home photos

After
many a week, I am finally getting around to post photos of our new
home.
Thanks to Jackie's handy camera, I am able to
showcase our new house. Because after all, why would I, the buyer of the house,
bring my own digital camera to the inspection? Actually, I think I did, but was
too shy to take pictures. Luckily, Jackie has been our surrogate realtor and has
been doing everything from arguing with our real realtor to inspection pointers
to mortgage pointers. She just wants to make sure we don't get screwed. And,
because we have ZERO idea of what is going on, she's been a big
help.When everything settles down,
I'll tell you what a 5/1 ARM is. But for now, I'm told it's something to stay
away from.On to the
house:
As
you enter the house, you be in the old porch, which is now a year-round sun
room. They say it's comfortable 9 months of the year. I don't know which months
are the ones it's just too
unbearable.
Take
two steps and you'll enter the living room. Note the working fireplace and
stairs to take you up to the second
floor. This is where many of our
friends and family will hang when they come to
visit.
Several
more steps will take you to our dining room. There are big windows to let a lot
of sun in. That's all I have on that
room. We'll eat there.Even further
back is the kitchen (photos not available) and then to the tiniest bathroom
ever.Actually, Becky tells me they
call it a powder room.I guess that's
where that kid Powder lives. I just know I'll never be able to poop
there.
But
when you head upstairs, you'll see there is a bathroom that will be just fine
...
It
also has a big mirror for Becky to put on
makeup.I don't need a mirror for my
makeup.
Ands
this is the upstairs hallway. Bedroom in the back of the house (not pictured)
and bedroom in the front. Bathroom on left and an office door just before that
(again, not
pictured).
The
outside of the house has this walkway to the backyard (also accessible from the
kitchen powder room area).There
is always a basement where all my stuff will eventually live.
Other than that, it's pretty swanky
and we're excited. Settlement date is (hopefully) July 29.
We expect visitors.
