$1,000 Scholarship Application
Eligibility Requirements:
The applicant shall:
• be the son or daughter of an Arlington Teachers’ Association member
• have been accepted to an accredited community college, four year
college, university, or technical school
• have a cumulative grade point average of “B” or higher.
Guidelines:
The applicant must submit all the following components in one envelope to be received no later than Thursday, April 26th, 2012:
1. A completed application form,
2. A copy of a letter of acceptance to an accredited school,
3. A copy of your transcript of grades (high school and college if
applicable)
4. Two letters of recommendation
5. A personal essay.
Completed application packet must be returned to:

Applications that do not have everything listed in the guidelines will not be considered.
Applications received after this date will not be considered.
In case of a tie, $500 will be awarded to each candidate.

Decisions regarding the scholarship recipient(s) will be announced at the ATA meeting on May 14th, 2011. All applicants will receive a letter the week of May 14th letting them know if they have or have not been chosen. |
