On
April 13, 2005 close to 1,000 people marched to the state
capitol in support of the ERO, tenure, school funding and
pension reform, including several of our ATA members.
The
IEA hosted a two-day Winter Advocacy Conference on
December 3 - 4, 2004 in Springfield. The focus of
the conference was to prepare local bargaining team
members for future negotiations and much more. Eight
of our members attended numerous workshops with topics
ranging from effective negotiations teams to interest-based
bargaining.
Seven
very caring and generous people donated their precious
time on a chilly October Sunday morning in Evanston
to help raise funds and awareness for a worthy cause.
