Subcommittees

Research: Deb, Dave, Kim, Kristine ... The committee's task is to obtain the contracts and other relevant information from our so-called comparable districts and to provide pertinent information from the other districts, such as salary schedules and contract language to our appropriate sub-committees. The following districts will be considered: Palatine District 15, Wheeling District 21, Schaumburg District 54 and Elk Grove District 59.
Survey Creation: Janet, Jim, Deb, John, Kristine & and Robin Erhart ... The committee's task is to create and conduct our membership survey and to summarize and organize the findings
Insurance: Christie, Lucia, Kim, Nancy ... The committee's task is to review our insurance benefits and look at the other districts' benefits and to make possible recommendations.
Retirement: Nancy, Christie, John, Janet ... The committee's task is to review our retirement benefits and look at the other districts' benefits and to make possible recommendations.
Finance: Jim, Dave, Eric, Kristine & Robin Erhart ... The committee's task is to collect and review the district's financial records, including the annual budget, the annual financial report and other pertinent financial records and to make possible recommendations.
Language: Lucia, Christie, Eric, John ... The committee's task is to review our current contract language and look at the other districts' comparative contract language and to make possible recommendations for changes and draft any new language that we would like to propose.
Community Public Relations: Kristine, _____, _____ ... The committee's task is to get a pulse on the community and to develop several options for presenting our Association in a positive light to the community, including possibly the publication of a community mailer, writing newspaper articles, or submitting content for the PTA newsletters.

Negotiations Team Responsibilities

Article VI - Section 9

The Negotiations Team shall act as bargaining agent for the Arlington Heights, District 25 Teachers in professional negotiations with the Board of Education.  Members of the Team shall be appointed by the President. The Team shall be responsible for soliciting input from the membership, collecting and organizing the information, and presenting the proposed package to the Representative Assembly for approval by simple majority.  Upon Representative Assembly approval, the Negotiations Team and the President or designee will work together in the preparation of the Negotiations Proposal for Presentation to the Bargaining Agent for the Arlington Heights, District 25, Board of Education.  The Negotiations Team shall be responsible for organizing and presenting the tentative agreement to the general membership for ratification by a simple majority vote.
