Links referred to in the TeachingPoint textbook "Conceptual Astronomy 1" by Jeff Adkins can be found by clicking the Links button at left or here. Volume 1 covers visual astronomy and the solar system. It is intended for use in a one-semester astronomy class or as a unit in astronomy within an Earth Science class. This book is written for use in high school and community college classes. It has a student workbook, teaching guide, Powerpoint files, and recommended settings for Starry Night. It is published by TeachingPoint. For more information you can email me, the author, or go to this web site to purchase a copy. TeachingPoint has excellent prices and a wide variety of courses in many topics. Volume 2 of Conceptual Astronomy, for stars, galaxies, and cosmology, is being written during the 2006-2007 school year and should be available in 2007.
