Readings

Finished another Cormac McCarthy book a few days ago, Outer Dark. I find his writing rather disturbing. There always seems to be a primative kind of violence running just below the surface in his books. Everything is very understated and matter of fact, no action to speak of, the bad things just 'happen'. Outer Dark is all about a brother and sister wandering through Tenesse. The sister in search of her child, begat through incest, and the brother in search of the sister. If i type enough i wonder if the wrapping will work... only way to find out. Type, type, type. That should do it.

In a further effort to avoid having to read the four volumes of Orwell i've started to read a book about supersymmetry. Which, i probably won't understand but, i feel good about making the effort.

The rest of my reading has been confined to reviewing the third edition of this monster.
