Nothing much

Now i'm really on holiday. i spent this week trying not to go to work. Quite unsuccessfully, as it happens.

Monday was the emperors birthday. Today they say he has cancer. i presume the two events are not connected. Tuesday i went to work.

I've been struggling with this damned spec. Right now i'm out of the groove and forcing myself to make progress. Friday was the best day i've had with it all week. It's coming together. Slowly. At the back of my mind is this nagging doubt about the thousand, or so, page of book that i have to do a technical review on. arrrrrrggggghhhhhh. I'm very fond of that these days.

We were meant to go to Chiba tomorrow for the new year holiday. We won't be going until monday at the earliest because m. has had a fever and flu like stuff today. She seems better tonight but no travel tomorrow.

Meanwhile, life goes on...
