NEW MUSIC FROM AL & JOE!
Currently in the final stages of session recording and preliminary mixing is the long promised album of songs by Joe Barbarotta and Alan Semok, with the working title "FISHFACE" .
This 18 song collection on CD spans almost 40 years, with songs and recordings made from1971 to the present featuring Alan on keyboards and vocals, and Joe on bass guitar and vocals (in addition to being responsible for the lyrics). With a number of guest musicians "sitting in" for the proceedings the duo performs an eclectic mix of original songs (stylistically, they've been compared to everybody from Little Feat , to Procol Harum, to a drunken bar band).
Also included are several vintage live recordings from a number of years ago when the duo had a bit of a following in the Rutgers University area. The collection or parts of it have been released (or have escaped) in various forms over the years and this final version will be available on compact disc and for download with much new material added, on the AEOLIPILE label. And it's almost finished! No...REALLY!! Really.

Go to the site and type in the word FISHFACE to hear a vintage track from Al and Joe entitled "Road Music" , written by Semok/Barbarotta.
The track was recorded in January 1974. Joe handles the lead vocal duties and bass guitar on this one, with Alan on keyboards, the late Gene Antol on lead guitar, Bob Agrillo on drums, and Robert "Harpo" Smith (known to our Buena Vista College friends as "Smitty") on percussion.
