Getting There Slowly



Asatour is going to happen. In fact, tomorrow morning I'll be overcoming one of the biggest obstacles, and I'll be starting a new adventure.

I'm buying my first new vehicle.

I've never had one. Everything's always been used. And frankly, this is a little scary. I don't really know what I'm doing, and I'm pretty much trusting that the dealer's not going out of his way to screw me (all right; I do know enough to see that I'm not, but not much else).

Anyway, a 2004 Jeep Wrangler has my name on it, to the tune of 15 Grand. Financing, of course; I can't imagine having that much money to blow at once.

So now I just have to get my old Jeep into a saleable condition, get packed, take care of a few other small things, and get out of here.
