Hail and greetings from South Korea, land of the
morning clam! Or calm; I've never been sure
which.
I have nothing of any deep and
philosophical meaning to impart today, but I do have news: I am soon to depart
Korea.
On Sunday I will move out of my
little shithole apartment and into the lodge, and on Thursday
I'll be returning to the States. Right now I'm doing a critical part of the
packing -- trying to dispose of as much of my alcohol stash as possible before I
leave. Any odd grammatical turns would be blame-able on that, most
likely.
I'm also preparing to break
down my altar. I intend to burn away the candles because I can't take them home
with me and I can't stand the idea of them being used by anyone else who might
happen to drag them out of the trash. On top of all this I've done laundry,
packed just about everything that I haven't thrown away, and I'm listening to
the B-52's.
I am a true Renaissance
man.
Anyway, since this is an Asatour
entry, I should discuss my plans once I get home. "Where will he go this time,"
you may well be asking. Well, in response, I have to say.. I don't know yet. I
truly hope to head down to Miami, and of course I want and hope to go to
Albuquerque. I have a friend in Miami I've been neglecting for too long, and I
intend to rectify that. Anything else is way way way up in the
air.
We shall see. And then, in
February, I'll be heading back to Iraq. If you didn't already know, then here
is your notification. :)
Take care,
ya'll. I'll write again when I have something to talk about.
