On the Road Again. or Cloud, more accurately.

Greetings from Frankfurt, Germany! I'm on my way to Italy, and have about an hour and a half before my flight leaves. So I'm writing here. Perhaps this is a sign of more blog entries to come? I'm not promising anything.

I'm rather tired. I always find that watching the sun go down and then come back up again in fast-forward when crossing the ocean in an easterly direction makes me tired. I didn't sleep much on the plane -- it was packed, for one thing. All in all, I've had two United flights and one Northwest flight on this trip so far (with one Lufthansa flight left to reach my destination), and I have to say I haven't been terribly impressed with United. Both flights were late in departing, and the treatment (at one airport) was as if you were a problem, not a customer.

Frankfurt it a very nice airport, and is really the crossroads for Europe, as far as I'm concerned. I seem to end up here a lot. I was halfway expecting to run into some of my co-workers here today, but so far I've seen no sign of them.

According to my computer, it's 4:12 AM where those of you in the Central Time Zone are. Calculate your own time from there; according to the clock on the wall it's 11:12 AM here im Deutschland. For breakfast I had two chocolate croissants (zwei Schoko-croissants) and a Coca-cola, and restocked my supply of lucky Mars bars in my backpack -- one to eat and one to carry around until it's as flat and mushy as the older one that's in there right now.

Anyway, I have one more flight until I reach somewhere photo-worthy. Hopefully I'll remember to share those with ya'll. I realize that some of you (do my readers still qualify for the label "some?") may find photos of airports very exciting. Me, not so much. You'll have to suffer until I get to Florence.

Oh yeah, and I have to actually find a working internet connection in order to upload this. If you're reading it, I succeeded. If not, then what ARE you staring at?
