London-Town, and more.

Greetings from Detroit!

My time in the UK is over now. I'm back in the U.S., and on my way home... for now.

I've been staying in London for the last few days, and it was amazing! I had a great hostel room near Kings Cross train station, which is close to just about everything, trainwise. It's not far from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, and Knightsbridge.

My first full day in London, I left. I managed to get a seat on a tour that went to Stonehenge, Bath, Norton St. Philip and Stratford-on-Avon. (links lead to my photo albums) It was a blast, and I ended up fairly exhausted by the end of the day.

I guess it was the next day that I went to Harrods of London, which is a giant department store (that you've probably heard of). I've never seen anything like this place. 5 floors of sheer commercialism, with restaurants on each level, and even a grocery store inside. I escaped after about an hour, pushing my way through a crowd of "fur is murder" protesters. Man, those people are annoying.

That night, I went to see Avenue Q, which was one of the highlights of my trip. Like most people, I don't make it to the theater very often, so this was a very rare treat. You've probably seen or heard some of the songs, to include The Internet is for Porn, which has become extremely popular on the Internet.

My last full day in London, I did a little sightseeing. I'll soon have photos up from my boatride on the Thames, and from the Tower of London. In the meantime, I have to get ready for another flight, this time from Detroit to Memphis.

Ya'll take care, for now.
