Why am I blogging?

What purpose could this possibly serve? Do I think that anyone is truly interested? What's the point in wasting time on something like this?

Blogging for me is therapeutic. I like the idea that I can put whatever I want in here, and absolutely anyone might wander in and read it. I can share my innermost thoughts (or outermost thoughts), without having to actually see the look of boredom on someone else's face. It's good for them too, since they can stop being bored anytime they want. The can, of course also read as much as they want, whenever they want.

Continuing on with the "therapeutic" idea. Suppose something's bothering me (that's not difficult for me). I take the problem, and try to boil it down to an issue. I take the issue and start writing about it. Sometimes, as you may have already noticed, the issue changes in the middle of the entry. Either way, I end up feeling better for it.

So yeah, there's a reason for it. Even if no one else ever reads a single word that I write. That's not the important thing. The writing and the public delivery are the important things. Perhaps it's the same thing that makes people write on the walls of bathroom stalls. I don't claim to be any more profound than that shithouse graffiti. I hope I am, but I don't claim to be. Perhaps it's just as meaningful to them to write "Look Left" on the right wall and "Look Right" on the left wall as it is for me to make this blog. Who can say?
